Welcome Home to Ohio State!

The Office of Student Life and Housing and Residence Education welcomes you to campus and invites you to learn about Ohio State's campus living options from actual students living in Ohio State residence hall rooms. This video showcases the differences in residence hall options and the benefits of living on campus.
Featured residence halls include Siebert Hall, Bradley Hall, Drackett Tower and Lincoln Tower which represent housing options in each residential area.  Regardless of where you live on campus, Student Life and Housing and Residence Education will welcome you home.

Housing and Residence Education emails out housing contract information to incoming freshman (who graduated from high school in 2024) in rounds based on their paid acceptance fee date.  Housing materials begin to be  emailed to the students' Ohio State email accounts in mid-March and continue through spring and summer. Housing for transfer students is offered based on space availability. We encourage you to activate your OSU email account and check it regularly not only for housing information but for information that might also be sent out prior to your arrival on campus from other university offcices.

Students are able to complete the housing contract online. Those students who are 18 years of age or older can also make their space reservation fee and filing fee ($350) payment online as well.  Students under the age of 18 complete the contract online and then need to print the signature page, have a parent or guardian sign and date it, and return the signature page with the payment to the Housing and Residence Education office.

We make the housing assignments during the summer based on the date we received the completed contract and payment and will email the housing assignments along with roommate(s) contact information in mid-July to the student's Ohio State email account. Information regarding our move in process and what students are encouraged to bring are emailed shortly after the time of their housing assignment notifications.
